About Ben Meissner

I build teams that perform at a high level because they have clear objectives, genuine ownership, and the kind of environment where good work gets recognized. Over twenty years in power generation, I've led enterprise operations, stood up organizations from scratch, and managed complex portfolios across operations, engineering, safety, asset management, procurement, and compliance. I've done this for PE-backed platforms navigating multi-billion-dollar transactions and for one of the largest utilities in the country. I've delivered meaningful business results, projects driving millions in revenue and savings, and I'm equally proud of the teams and leaders who made that work possible. My leadership runs on a simple operating system: own everything, build people up, and create environments where teams perform at levels they didn't think were possible. I learned this through practice, through the principles of Extreme Ownership, and through years of studying what separates good leaders from the ones people actually want to follow. I've been leading distributed teams across multiple states for most of my career; building trust, accountability, and high performance long before anyone called it remote work. I'm effective whether I'm down the hall or across the country because the foundation doesn't change: clear expectations, genuine investment in people, and a relentless focus on getting better. I serve on the Board of Directors for Power Users Inc, a nonprofit supporting owners and operators of power generation equipment across eight user group organizations.
