About Ben Meyer

After graduating high school I began a sales associate job at a retail store where I learned communication skills through customer service, I also began studying criminal justice at Ellsworth Community College and after one year graduated with an Associates degree in criminal justice. I then began attending Iowa State University to pursue a degree in criminal justice and in the winter of 2014 I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to serve my country and better myself. During my time in the marine corps I learned many valuable skills such as leadership, time management, and team work. I deployed twice to Okinawa Japan during which spent time traveling around different parts of Asia and training with other militaries where we learned how to over come language barriers and adapt top new cultures. After leaving the military I hope to gain experience and knowledge that will allow me to thrive in a carpentry/ construction career.
