Experienced environmental professional and project manager. Career summary: • 20 years of professional experience • Key consulting projects (listed below) cover a range of industries, government departments and state owned enterprises • Management and leadership experience includes 2 years as Group Manager for 40 consultants, during a time of substantial restructuring and change management • I completed an Honours thesis in hydrogeology and spent four years on the Victorian committee of the International Association of Hydrogeologists • Another technical focus of mine has been quantitative assessment of risks to human health, drinking water and waterways from contaminated land • Project Manager Certification gained in 2008, with annual refreshers, and I have progressed to Project Director roles for a few projects Project management has been a key aspect of my work, assisting owners, operators and environmental managers of properties with environmental and engineering services, with a focus on: • Evaluation of the environmental and regulatory context of properties • Review of current and past activities, to identify potential sources of environmental impacts to soil, groundwater and surface water • Environmental site assessment and monitoring of soil and groundwater conditions • Assessment of risk to human health and the environment from contaminated land • Liaison with other stakeholders (Regulators, Council, neighbours, etc.) • Coordination of contractors, for activities such as removal of site infrastructure and impacted soils • Development of environmental management plans • Assistance with due diligence works, for instance during divestments or acquisitions, through review of environmental liabilities, prioritisation and cost estimation of potentially material environmental liabilities, and advice on how to refine cost estimates and reduce uncertainty
