About Ben Ocra

Ocra has had a long and distinguished career in Research, Development, Philanthropy, Monitoring and Evaluation, Information Communications Technology and International affairs. His wide experience in these areas and his involvement in social development, business and civic organizations have all helped shape his vision for Africa’s development through different frontiers. He has over 13 years track record in Research and International Development, project management & monitoring, managing relationships with development partners, funders and senior decision-makers in the public and private sectors. Ocra promoted regional co-operation and development through a number of grass root projects aimed at helping the poor in society through his involvement with Institutions such as the United Nations, the World Bank, Southern New Hampshire University, to mention a few. Through this, he developed models for solving development problems and works to scale up successful projects through determining cost effectiveness of poverty alleviation programs, using the most rigorous evaluation techniques. His foresight, commitment and dedication development related projects has earned him prestigious honors from development officials from both the United States and Africa
