About Ben Porter

I use my international business and cultural experience, particularly my knowledge of Japanese culture and language to help Japanese companies promote and provide services to foreign customers in a variety of industries. Similarly, I support non-Japanese companies doing business in Japan. My previous roles have been in sales, business development, alliance management, senior management, and customer success. I have strong communication skills in English (my native language) and Japanese; in Japanese, I have delivered hundreds of presentations, managed contracts, and proofread sales and marketing collateral. I have lived in Asia for almost thirty years (mostly in Japan) and have been a Country Manager in Japan, a Managing Director in Singapore, and an Asia Regional Sales Director and Vice President. With a multicultural background and long experience working in international teams, I am well-positioned to work in any environment. I am passionate about Japanese culture and helping the innumerable high-quality producers in Japan to bring their goods and services to the world.
