About Ben Radstone

Tackling the UK’s empty homes crisis. One property at a time.At Hyjan Investments and YouSpotProperty, I’ve spent over 20 years focused on bringing long-term empty, derelict and problematic properties back into use across the UK.The properties we deal with aren’t just empty. They’re problematic and tangled.Legal title issues, probate complications, missing deeds, structural damage, hoarding, short leases, these are the real reasons homes sit vacant for years. We specialise in resolving the problems that stop these properties being sold.Hyjan is a research-led property investment company. We are cash buyers, able to move quickly with immediate exchange and flexible completion timelines to suit the seller. Our experience allows us to take on cases others can’t or won’t.Through YouSpotProperty, we involve the public in identifying these homes. Anyone can report a property they believe is empty, and if it qualifies, we reward them. We’ve paid out over £1 million to spotters and helped bring hundreds of homes back into use. We’ve been featured by the BBC, ITV, Sky News and MoneySavingExpert, and we work closely with local authorities, housing professionals and empty homes officers who want to see these properties brought back into use.If you’re working in this space, or aware of a problematic property that’s been sitting empty for too long, I’d be happy to connect.
