About Ben Reed

I’ve been passionate about landscaping since the age of 10, when I started mowing lawns in my neighborhood with a Craftsman mower my dad gave me. That early experience grew into a lifelong career in the green industry focused on building, improving, and leading.After graduating from Etowah High School in 1996 and studying Criminal Justice at Floyd Technical College, I launched my own landscape company and quickly moved into leadership roles, becoming an Enhancement Manager with a larger firm by age 21. Over the years, I’ve designed and built high-end landscapes and water features across the U.S, gaining hands-on experience in grading, drainage, stonework, irrigation, and premium maintenance.My career has since expanded into Branch Manager and Continuous Improvement leadership roles, where I’ve led teams, managed operations and budgets, driven enhancement sales, and partnered closely with HOA boards and property managers to improve communities and deliver long-term value. I’ve also implemented process improvements and performance systems to increase efficiency, quality, and profitability.Following the 2008 recession, I spent several years in restaurant and manufacturing leadership, earning a Lean Six Sigma certification and leading statewide operational improvement initiatives. In 2015, encouraged by my wife, I returned to landscaping full-time, bringing together hands-on industry experience and disciplined operational leadership.A 47-year Cherokee County native, I enjoy BBQ, tennis, live music, and cheering on my two kids in their sports and school activities. I take pride in developing people, improving organizations, and creating landscapes built to last.
