About Ben Robinson

I am currently a Secondary Mathematics Teacher with a huge amount of experience in the education sector. I possess a strong Mathematical background having studied the subject to degree level and have taught it to a range of ages and abilities. Within the subject I teach all of the standard 11-16 Curriculum, plus I have a lot of experience of teaching Mechanics, Pure, Discrete and Statistical Mathematics to both A-Level and Further Maths groups. I am very adept to use a range of ICT packages and software since we use ICT in the classroom to teach and illustrate our subject. I have built and designed interactive schemes of learning for our staff to deliver the subject and use many data analysis tools in order to assess and track our students. I believe I have strong communication skills with both adults and students since this is such an integral part of our job. I have to plan and deliver content continually to students and run meetings with colleagues around the school on a range of matters. Some of these meetings involve presenting material and developing other teachers with their practice. As a teacher, I have to possess very good organizational skills in terms of managing the pressures on my time and meeting deadlines such as reports or results analysis. I am very adept to multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks and have always worked well both individually and as a team. I have a deep understanding of Statistics and thoroughly enjoy working with data sets in a range of situations.
