My College Journey Strengthened My Weaknesses As co-president of a 100-member club swim team, a salesman for rental car insurance, and an intern on a 24/7 customer service line, I’ve navigated countless interactions with people from all walks of life—often in high-pressure moments. From de-escalating conflicts to adapting to unpredictable conversations, I’ve conquered my fear of discomfort and learned to thrive outside my comfort zone. Pioneering as the First Labor Market Analyst Fresh out of college with a degree in Business Analytics, I expected to start at the bottom rung of the corporate ladder. Instead, I’m building a data-driven role from scratch at the university I love. My mission? Transform messy datasets into actionable insights—tailoring analyses by college, major, and student demographics—while collaborating with department heads to bridge the gap between education and employment. By relentlessly asking, “How can this data drive real-world impact?”, I’m not just boosting co-op placements and resumes; I’m expanding our university’s employer network into untapped industries and cities, turning insights into opportunities. Adaptability Fuels My Ambition As the first in this role, I’ve learned that the labor market never stands still—and neither can I. Even after earning my master’s in Business Analytics, I know the real work lies in continuous learning: adapting to new tools, trends, and the evolving needs of both students and employers.
