I am the Senior Solutions Consultant at Independent Security Evaluators (ise.io). At ISE, I focus on helping our clients come up with a strategy for approaching security assessments. It's not uncommon for decision makers responsible for managing security to be unsure of what the right approach is for managing security risks, so I try to focus on identifying the business mission and what assets need to be protected. Once we understand what our real risks our, we can begin to come up with an informed approach to Web Application Security Testing, Penetration Testing, Hardware/Firmware Assessment, or whatever other kind of assessment is necessary given the client's unique situation. One of the things I really appreciate about working at ISE is our comprehensive approach to security, where we go beyond a simple scan and report. We look for the zero day vulnerabilities and chain exploits together using a manual approach.
