I have completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Otago, majoring in Sport and Exercise Science. I am currently completing a two-year Master's degree, alongside work as a Strength & Conditioning Intern with the Highlanders Super Rugby franchise.My research aims to improve understanding of the underlying mechanisms of head impacts, and of potential ways to mitigate concussion risk in sport, with a particular focus on women's rugby. This research employs aspects of strength & conditioning theory and practice, as well as biomechanics. Specifically, it examines the relationship between head impact responses and eccentric neck muscle characteristics, and assesses how they are each affected by plyometric neck training.
