I joined the Marine Corps Jan 8, 2001, served as an 0331 (machine gunner) from January 2001 to January 2005. I served with FAST company where I earned a few additional mos' s 8152 (security guard) 8154 (close quarters battle team member) as well as 8530 (marksmanship instructor), I also attended Advanced urban combat, Urban Sniper and Designated Marksmen. During my tour with FAST I served as team leader and squad leader FAST (Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Teams) Company's missions vary from establishing Site security where there is intelligence of imminent danger or higher threats on US government installations or property, Convey/Motorcade operations, Personal Security Detachment Teams, Recapture operations. We trained extensively with CQB tactics and combat marksmanship. Upon leaving the Corps I worked construction for awhile, but also continued my firearms education on the recreational side. In 2008 I went through a civilian certification course for a DOD firearms instructor position for the US Navy. I attended the Oregon DPSST Armed/unarmed courses. As well as the NRA instructor course. In 2005 I began training MMA and gracie jiu jitsu. I am now a purple belt instructor under the Pedro Sauer association (belted by Anibal Lobo in Gresham Oregon). Ive had one mma fight. I am now a Firearms instructor on federal/DOE contract as well as a DPSST private security contractor. October 2018 I passed the Washington's CJTC armed instructor course. 2019 I obtained Oregon Armed DPSST instructor license, and Glock certified armorer's course. April 2022 I was selected to a dream job as a firearms instructor at the DPSST academy for Police and Corrections, being able to pass down knowledge obtained into 1st responders is a privilege, I get to work with hero's.
