Ben is a visionary leader, a skilled marketer, and a creative artist with over 35 years of experience in design, marketing, entrepreneurship, and leadership. He recently completed his second term as the Mayor of Kill Devil Hills, NC, where he advanced policy initiatives to benefit the residents and business stakeholders of the town, while enhancing its beauty and quality of life. He is also an Eagle Scout who has held many leadership roles in his community including Chairman of the Dare County Board of Education, President of the Outer Banks Restaurant Association, and serving on the Board of Directors of the HOPE Coalition. As the Marketing Communications Manager at Surf or Sound Realty, Ben creates engaging, high-performing omnichannel marketing campaigns that support business development, demand generation, and recruitment efforts. He is collaborating with VP stakeholders to develop a new web presence as part of a company-wide rebrand. Additionally, he is the Lead Creative at Pivot Visuals, a company that provides head-turning visuals for forward-thinking brands, using drone imaging, graphic design, photography, and video production. He is proficient in various tools and platforms, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and Brevo.
