About Ben Swan

Entrepreneur with a history of managing high-growth technology SMEs. I have recently joined Recorra as Head of Business Transformation. Natural Sciences graduate from the University of Cambridge (M.Sci). I spent 6 years as Chief Operating Officer for Immaterial, a materials science and systems engineering company spun out of Cambridge University. I worked to direct company strategy, manage scale-up, secure funding, and commercialise the technology. We used our expertise in the design and manufacture of porous materials to deliver solutions across industries ranging from hydrogen fuel cells and carbon capture to respiratory protection and aerospace. I then worked as Central Operations for Charco Neurotech, a med-tech SME that manufactures a wearable device to treat Parkinson's. As part of the Central team, I report directly to the CEO and COO and work on strategic projects across finance, operations, and user support. I then worked for Qureight, an AI medical imaging company, as Head of Business Development Operations.
