About Ben Taddei

Ben is a knowledgeable and successful real estate professional with over 35 years of experience in the Metro Vancouver real estate industry. He has a strong reputation as a strategist, entrepreneur, innovator, and business operator. He also has an extensive track record building and leading values-based management teams that scale operations and financial performance while minimizing risks. Currently, he is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Conwest Developments, one of Vancouver's leading privately held developer/builders and site services companies. At Conwest, he is responsible for corporate strategy as well as overall business operations. All senior management functions report directly to him. Prior to his position with Conwest, Ben led the operations of two of the region's prominent housing companies, as COO of ParkLane Homes and President of Bluetree Homes. Both companies were founded on the principles of social responsibility, sound product quality, superior customer care, and solid employee relations. Throughout his career, Ben has been instrumental in leading his companies to win some of the most prestigious awards in the Real Estate Development industry. Some of these include: • ULI Global Award for Excellence • ULI Americas Awards for Excellence (multiple years) • CHBA Grand Sam Award for Excellence in Building and Marketing New Homes • GVHBA Grand Ovation Awards for Builder of the Year • Countless other CHBA, GVHBA, ULI, and UDI awards Ben is a past Chair and Board Member of the Greater Vancouver Home Builders' Association and is a past Board Member of the Canadian Home Builders' Association of BC. He is an active participant in NAIOP Vancouver, CREW Vancouver, and the Urban Development Institute Vancouver. Ben also mentors present and future industry leaders through his own initiatives. Past mentorship includes UBC Sauder School, NAIOP and UDI School of Development. Other notable industry contributions include subcommittee work to re-write the Real Estate Development Marketing Act, the Real Estate Act, and the Streamside Protection Regulation.
