About Ben Tandy

As an experienced Finance Assistant, I have experience in management accounting where I've worked in a fast paced finance department. I'm AAT qualified and studying towards obtaining my CIMA qualification, where I am committed to personal and professional development. I am currently responsible for various management accounting activities including preparing monthly financial reports, analysis, and reconciliations such as bank, purchase ledger, and stock accounts. I ensure that budget owners are supported in monitoring their expenditure and I seek to provide support to managers to control their budgets accordingly. I am currently responsible for various monthly accounting tasks including accruals and prepayments, processing month end journals, and preparing analysis. I have continuously taken on additional responsibility in the department, where I now manage several month end and day-to-day activities including accounts payable. I also manage the banking transactions and reconciliations, and ensure internal controls are followed at all times. I have worked alongside management, where I provide reporting and analysis when required. I also possess excellent interpersonal skills and I am able to establish and maintain positive long lasting relationships. I am required to work closely with finance colleagues and provide financial support to management around key decisions through analysis of financial information. I have excellent system knowledge where I have used SAGE, Microsoft Dynamics, and Excel confidently throughout my role. I am best suited to a fast paced environment where I adapt well to new responsibilities, tasks, processes and I believe I would be a valuable addition to any organisation.
