Background
About Ben Trickey
Since completion of the Artist Blacksmithing program out of Fleming College Haliburton Campus, I have been slowly creating a small business focusing on Blacksmithing and the various work that is produced from that skill. To financially maintain my Blacksmithing for the time being, I have been employed by the Upper Canada District School Board as an afternoon/evening custodian. Both jobs have allowed me to develop many different skills form working with power tools and being creative to being able to work effectively alone or with others, making sure the job is complete (cleaning schools each night for the next school day). I was also given the opportunity to fill in a lead custodian role for the fall of 2022 (September-December) where extra responsibilities were required such as opening school and checking water readings to providing answers/ assistance to the various staff and students within the school environment. I am a quick learner and can easily adapt to the environment I am in.
