About Ben Vernon

I am an environmental scientist (geoscientist-in-training) with over four years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. I am a hardworking driven individual with a great affinity for work (and play) in the outdoors and building meaningful connections with team members, co-workers, and colleagues. In my time as an environmental scientist I have worked on a variety of projects in British Columbia and Alberta including Stage 1 PSI/Phase I ESAs, Phase II and ESAs, construction monitoring, contaminated site remediations, and environmental monitoring/sampling projects, but am always looking for more opportunities to further my skill set. My environmental consulting experience is complimented by over four years’ experience conducting fieldwork and mitigating hazards in remote field environments as a forest firefighter.
