Background

About Ben Vivekanandan

I am a leading expert in policy development and execution, with top level experience in federal and state governments and working across education, training, international relations, broadcasting and telecommunications. Previously I worked in both the public and private sector, including senior positions in a ministerial office, private industry associations and public service. Currently as Director, Precincts and Government at Monash University, I am helping develop a world class city-centre in the #MonashPrecinct to encourage economic development, knowledge, jobs, lifestyle amenities, and social cohesion.#MonashPrecinct is already the largest job hub outside Melbourne CBD and our vision is to build a vibrant, self supporting innovation precinct that attracts all the amenities that make a great city liveable. In my role, I bring together partners from business, education, government, community services and potential partners from the region, many of whom are enjoying a high-quality lifestyle and a tech-advantage due to the access to Monash University and the many technology companies in the Monash Precinct. I am passionate about jobs and economic development, believing a rising tide lifts all boats. Downtime: One-eyed Adelaide Crows supporter and bad golfer.
