A senior lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry having worked with some of the world’s largest banks and financial institutions, hedge fund managers, private equity and venture fund managers, sovereign wealth funds, superannuation and pension funds and multinationals. Began career in private practice with major international law firms in Melbourne and London specialising in banking and finance law with a further emphasis on syndicated and bilateral lending, property finance, structured finance, project finance and leveraged acquisition finance. Continued in private practice with a boutique law firm in the Cayman Islands specialising in general corporate and commercial law as well as hedge fund and private equity fund formation and governance. More recently, was Director of Legal for a publicly listed financial services organisation providing fund, corporate, capital markets and private wealth services and was responsible for the legal function across the North American and Caribbean region. Most recently, was General Counsel for one of Australia’s leading commercial real estate debt and investment specialists. A technical expert with highly developed analytical and conceptual skills together with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a firm ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Thrives on collaboration in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
