About Ben Woodward

My current role sees me responsible for a team of 12 colleagues, both office and workshop based. Having worked through the ranks at CES Hire from sales and marketing assistant up to Managing Director. I have learnt a lot about the construction industry and how companies operate along the way. I enjoy the responsibility and challenges that come with being a leader. Some on my key values in life are being punctual, pushing boundaries and showing respect. Every day I actively look to learn new information which helps me grow as a person both professionally and socially. One of the best learning experiences within my life so far has been studying at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy. My time spent there taught me a great deal about the key fundamentals of running a business. Whist studying, I set up a small handmade accessories business. Starting from scratch I sourced local suppliers and identified a route to market. Throughout the process I found myself learning a huge amount about negotiation, sales and marketing. During the academic year we were often set challenges by large businesses to help them reach out to younger audiences. Within these challenges I would often find myself elected as team leader and on the winning side. In 2013 I decided to wind down this business and seek to gain further experience by going out into industry. This saw me beginning my professional career at CES Hire Ltd. Over the years I have learnt a huge amount and grown massively as a person, as has the company. We have grown from a team of 6 into a team of 12 and relocated to a new premises to assist with this growth. Some of my personal interests include football, cricket and travelling to new places. I can often be found following Wycombe Wanderers all over the country and this allows me to see parts of the country I wouldn't otherwise think of visiting.
