With 20 years professional experience across all fields of arboriculture, most recently in full time management, H&S I have a passion for the environment and health and safety. This is reflected in all avenues of my career to date. I am very ambitious and always looking to improve performance, both my own and that of the team/organisation I am working with. I have excelled in various challenges throughout my career and endeavored to promote positive environments and attitudes within the company for my colleagues and myself. I have 10 years of management experience with a proven ability to manage teams, projects, and intricate contracts such as Auckland Council's tree maintenance program. In this role I oversaw and coordinated the maintenance of Auckland's green assets, including the CBD which holds planning and stakeholder challenges well beyond any other part of the region. This work includes development of safety policies and procedures, development and management of training pathways and strategies, incident investigation, Training and H&S initiatives, operational safety and the management of of field experts and assessors. I have been characterised as an organised and decisive person by my employers and colleagues. I believe in building a good rapport as this creates an immediate sense of trust that enables me to effectively manage clients, contractors, and fellow employees. I also believe that effective communication is key to leadership and empowering people to take ownership of their positions and processes. I am committed to a high standard of quality and health and safety, and I aim to ensure that these standards and values are passed through every aspect of the operation.
