I lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for advising parties engaged in the University of New Mexico’s administrative hearing process. In my role as Hearing Officer, I preside over the adjudication of complex issues, including personnel disputes, student conduct violations, allegations of discrimination, and matters arising under Title IX. These proceedings, administrative in nature, necessitate a nuanced understanding of institutional policy, legal standards, and procedural fairness, with final determinations rendered by me as a highly trained and experienced adjudicator.As a legal practitioner, my work spans a broad spectrum of public interest law, encompassing critical areas such as civil rights and civil liberties, gender equity, child and youth advocacy, immigration, labor and employment law, consumer protection, public benefits, and LGBTQ+ rights. Additionally, my practice extends to environmental justice, prisoner rights, criminal defense, and the death penalty, reflecting a deep commitment to advancing justice and equity across diverse and often underserved populations.
