Benedict Chiu is a bay area native whose parents are originally from Taiwan. He started making short films while at USC and graduated with a joint degree in Business Administration and Cinematic Arts. He worked at the NBCUniversal Page Program, APA Agency, and Scott Free Television, before being selected for the Warner Bros. Television Writers' Workshop 2021 - 2022. He was most recently a staff writer on Season 3 of CALL ME KAT (FOX).As a writer-director, Benedict’s coming-of-age comedy short film S.Q.A.G.(SHORT QUIET ASIAN GIRL)(2022) starring Tricia Fukuhara (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies) and Kristian Ventura (School Spirits) premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival and the New York Asian Film Festival.
