About Benedict Lang

Hi, I am a 25-year-old master's student in Advanced IT Security in Sigmaringen, Germany. As a full-stack developer, I enjoy optimizing processes and interaction using my IT knowledge and continually learning new technologies to achieve that goal. During my studies, I used to work as a tutor and enjoyed assisting other students in various design and software projects. Explaining concepts to others not only helped them but also reinforced my own understanding—similar to the well-known Rubber Duck Debugging effect in software development, if you ever wondered why programmers and ducks are a thing 🦆. As a student trainee I gained insights in AI appliance at our institute for two semesters. Subsequently, when working on software projects, I always advocated for appliance security and constantly developed my passion for information security while continuing my exciting journey at Porsche. In my bachelor's thesis, I combined both areas to discover the appliance of large language models in security incident management and digital forensics. My master's will deepen my knowledge in forensics, appliance security, AI anomaly detection, quantum computing and cryptography to prepare me for the upcoming challenges of digitalization. In my spare time, I do a lot of music for over 18 years now and I really take every chance to play a piano. Furthermore, I like to travel, do sports (like skiing, surfing, sailing, running, biking), do nerdy computer science things and improve my languages (including the ones for programming).
