My first official job was as a cabin crew member with Singapore Airlines, a role I believed to be stable and recession-proof. However, the COVID-19 pandemic shattered this illusion, leaving many of my colleagues, who were the sole breadwinners for their families, jobless and directionless. Witnessing their struggles firsthand, I saw the transformative power of recruitment consultants who helped them uncover previously unknown strengths and transition to new industries.
