At alitiq, I work as a data scientist, developing methods to forecast weather-dependent processes, including solar and wind energy generation. Interdisciplinary research has been central to my work throughout my academic career. During my PhD, I worked on the generation and evaluation of weather forecasts in close collaboration with other statisticians, meteorologists and computer scientists. The focus of my work has been on forecasting wind and solar variables using methods from machine learning and artificial intelligence, especially quantifying the forecast uncertainty.
