Benim Saric is Head of Legal & Regulatory Compliance and Data Protection Officer at bank99 AG. In addition to his job at bank99 AG he teaches civil, corporate and data protection law at the Technical University of Vienna. Benim is certified Data Protection and Compliance Officer. He is recognized as one of the most influential and innovative general counsel in Austria and is listed in the Legal 500’s GC Powerlist: Austria 2022. Benim Saric holds a degree in law (Mag.iur.) from the University of Vienna, a master‘s degree in law (LL.M.) from the University of Vienna and a master‘s degree in business law (MBL) from the University of Economics, Vienna. Benim Saric has 10+ years of experience with analysis of banking, corporate an capital markets law matters on national and international level. Benim Saric is a speaker at conferences on banking law related topics and writes articles for top academic journals (i.a. BankArchiv, immolex). Prior to bank99 AG, Benim Saric was leading the Group Banking Supervision Law & Capital Markets Law at VOLKSBANK WIEN AG. He was also working as a Consultant for a leading international consulting company in the area banking law. In this role he was involved in great number of projects for national / international credit institutions, investment firms and asset managament companies. Benim Saric started his career at renowned Austrian law firm in the areas banking and corporate law. Furthermore, he finished his court practice at various Austrian courts, including Austrian regional court for civil law.
