Benjamin is an experienced journalist, editor and corporate communications executive with industry experience. He has been in the financial services industry for some 20 years, holding various portfolios, including sales, recruitment, and training. Self-driven with an analytical mind & entrepreneurial spirit, initiatives he conceptualised and launched include- First-Of-Its-Kind regional Awards which recognises the very best in the life insurance sector, cutting across companies & countries in Asia. It was launched in 2016 with the support of leading insurance companies, including Manulife, AIA, and Sun Life, & Mark Tucker as Patron- An online platform dedicated to serving advisers & leaders through reporting on the latest industry development and insightful interviews with senior executives & successful practitioners, with the vision to raise the bar & image of the industry- eWeekly China: a premium news service to help senior executives make sense of insurance industry developments in ChinaBenjamin chairs & speaks actively on the future of the life insurance industry, the role of life insurance advisers and how they can continue to thrive in the years ahead. He regularly interviews insurance regulators and regional and global CEOs of (re)insurance companies. He was Regional Corporate Communications Manager for Asia at Allianz, one of the world’s largest global financial services providers, where he grew the LinkedIn community by 30%.Benjamin is a proud advocate of the life insurance industry and financial literacy. He is also passionate about trumpeting the under-appreciated work that professional advisers do for society. He was recognised and awarded by the Marketing Institute of Singapore, the national body of sales and marketing, as "Advocate of Life Insurance in Asia". He holds the professional qualifications of ChFC, CLU & AEPP.
