About Benjamin Bausili

I lead cross-functional teams to deliver beautiful and engaging experiences. I have a knack for research and experimentation that helps me see solutions to problems that others often miss. I thrive on helping others simplify problems and understand other perspectives– a vital skill when helping clients overcome their data challenges. During the day, I lead the Experience Practice globally for InterWorks where I am responsible for product ownership of Curator by InterWorks, managing the Experience Design Team, scoping and selling large-scale projects, and collaborating with our other practices, sales, and marketing teams. InterWorks is the inaugural Tableau Gold Partner and current Partner of the Year. My team of industry-leading experts help clients move, transform, analyze, and visualize their data to tell their stories. Our innovative solutions span an expansive range of industries, from enterprise to small non-profits. I have extensive experience in Visual Analysis, Data Analytics, and Data Architecture. In my role as Principal Consultant I manage teams and projects to implement the right data governance strategies, develop the best technology stacks, and form Analytics Centers of Excellence. I use a variety of technologies including traditional RDBMSs (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL), column-store analytical databases (Vertica, Redshift, BigQuery), Graph Databases / Neo4J, and Hadoop (Hive/Impala). My analysis experience includes Tableau, SAS, and R. I also regularly employ various programming languages doing ETL (python) and websites (python and javascript). My educational background include a Masters of Business Administration and a B.S. in Mathematics. When not instigating positive changes for clients, I am most at home on a hiking trail with my family. My wife, Rachel, shares my love of adventure and travel, so, when we're not in a new city to try the local food or the great outdoors to escape it all, we are likely dreaming and planning our next family destination over (locally-roasted) coffee.
