Hello! My name is Ben Berry, and I am a NY State and Federal health insurance product specialist. In my most recent role with Planned Parenthood of Central & Western NY, I supported the revenue cycle team with a focus on growing insurance programs both in-house and for affiliates. Within two years, I was promoted to Lead in my department with an expanded remit that included training and oversight of patient insurance programs. Familiarity with the spectrum of available coverage options, such as NY State and Federal programs, or grants to cover care for the underserved, has been key to my success in enhancing revenue capture. I have experience with the NYS Marketplace, Maximus, Epaces, MS Excel, State and Federal spreadsheets, and have maintained key county contacts. I seek to be a friendly and effective gateway for anyone in NY State needing access to or advice on health care while maintaining positive relationships with patients, billing departments, insurance plans, and providers.
