Prior to Arctaris Impact Investors, I served as CEO and Executive Director of Imerman Angels, the world's largest psycho-social support network for cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers. For the preceding 3+ years, I served as an active member of the Imerman Angels Board of Directors and have an intimate knowledge of the organization and its strategic goals. I am also a 3-time cancer survivor and remain active in local and national cancer organizations. Prior to this defined 2-year turnaround project in the cancer non-profit world, I successfully built and managed Prospero Capital for more than 20 years. Prospero Capital’s unique fund structure was the subject of a popular Harvard Business School case study. During the time that I developed Prospero Capital, I also served as a partner at Omega Advisors (Leon Cooperman) in NYC and Orbis Investment (Allan Gray) in London/Bermuda. In each of these positions, I interfaced with investors, grew AUM, and produced strong investment returns. In conjunction with my professional activities, I have been actively involved in philanthropy in Chicago and nationally, serving in various board capacities, particularly in cancer, entrepreneurship, and animal causes.
