As an Environmental Scientist with Stantec, I crew-lead construction monitoring, marine mammal observations (MMO), tidal salvage operations, and comprehensive environmental reporting on a high-profile rail infrastructure project for CN in Prince Rupert - Canada’s third-busiest shipping port. My role bridges regulatory requirements, ecological science, and practical fieldwork, ensuring that vital construction proceeds responsibly, aquatic habitats are respected, and marine life is protected. I thrive in dynamic environments where precision, vigilance, and environmental stewardship are non‐negotiable. My commitment to conservation and the natural world goes beyond my day-job. From my early days as the founder of Trent Outdoors, I’ve been dedicated to fostering deep connection with nature, promoting outdoor learning, and building communities rooted in ecological awareness. My benthic invertebrate lake health study reflects my passion for freshwater ecosystems; through this work, I have developed both strong technical skills (sampling, identification, analysis) and a deeper understanding of watershed health. For over a decade, I’ve also volunteered with the Halton Regional Salmon & Trout Association (HRSTA), contributing to habitat restoration, fish population monitoring, and public outreach. I am constantly looking to deepen my knowledge and expand my impact, whether through mentoring, research collaborations, or new field projects. My strengths include strong field-monitoring methods, regulatory compliance, marine & freshwater ecology, reporting, and stakeholder communication. I believe that protecting our natural heritage is both a professional duty and a personal calling.
