About Benjamin Derby

Since the summer I was 15, I've been in the small business world constantly. I credit my maternal grandfather for giving the example of what hard work and honesty will create in you and others. My grandfather was the one who gave me my first glimpses of business running, creating in me the insatiable drive to be an visionary and leader in the business world. At 18, I started taking over completely the day to day operations of our small family farm, Coyners' Blueberries, and at 20, I was given the position of manager, with the responsibilities of maintaining and growing the business. My background in sustainable farming has shown me that one must give more than he receives in order for there to be healthy growth in any idea, person or even physical things such as gardens. I continue to be the main figure on the farm, while pursuing a career as a Realtor, and being invested heavily in my local church, and other projects. Real estate has helped me to understand my love for constant human interaction while getting projects and deals done. I look to the success of my broker, Randy Haney who has encouraged me every step of the way, and taught me many things I know as a Realtor, from deciding if a deal was worth pursuing, to negotiating the deal and closing them to the best advantage of all parties.
