Hi, I'm Benjamin Farmer. Over the past 4 years, I've worked in the world of software engineering, specifically focusing on data engineering. I've worked extensively with Python and SQL, as well as a variety of other systems and had the opportunity to work with some of the most exciting new developments in the field, such as DuckDB and MotherDuck.I've also had the pleasure of working with AWS services like Lambda, Eventbridge, Glue, and SQS, along with other tools such as Dagster and Apache Airflow. These are tools that I regularly use professionally and I’m in the process of getting my AWS Certifications.But it's not all tech with me. I also have my creative side. I've worked as a professional pastry chef and baker, and had the opportunity to work in some amazing places, including Michelin-level establishments in Scandinavia, Washington, and Colorado.When I'm not in the kitchen or tinkering with data, you'll find me out in the fields or on a rock face, as I have a deep passion for agriculture and rock climbing, along with a strong drive for keeping our amazing outdoors as beautiful as possible.
