About Benjamin Gruber

I am passionate about unraveling the complexities of Earth's and planetary processes. As an Earth scientist, I have worked in ore deposits, soils, geochemistry, rheology, mineralogy, complex datasets, and geospatial mapping. My research spans the geochemical and rheological evolution of igneous rocks with applications to environmental science, petrology, and economic geology. With a Ph.D. from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (UC San Diego) and an M.Sc. from the University of Alberta, my work has involved laboratory chemistry, field methods, advanced analytical techniques, and petrographic analysis. I have collaborated on international research projects, conducted fieldwork across multiple continents, and contributed to high-impact scientific publications. Beyond research, I have a strong passion for mentoring and science communication. I have guided undergraduate students, organized scientific seminars, and led geoscience outreach initiatives.
