About Benjamin Hinricher

I graduated from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with my bachelor’s and master's degrees in chemical engineering, as well as minors in chemistry and petroleum systems and a Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate. Additionally, I passed the FE exam (Chemical) in June 2020. I am certified in SACHE Runaway Reactions, SACHE Chemical Process Safety, SafeLand USA, and I have computer proficiencies in Microsoft Office, Visual Basic, ASPEN, COMSOL, Polymath, MATLAB, R/RStudio, Minitab, PI Processbook, OPTO 22, SketchUp, and Petrel. I have prior process engineer experience obtained during my previous co-op and internship opportunities with Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain and Cargill Salt, as well as engineering/contractor research experience for SDSM & T and the US Air Force on solar technologies and brewing experience from Sick-N-Twisted Brewery. Most previously, I worked for Cargill Starches, Sweeteners and Texturizers in Eddyville, IA as a project engineer, working on capital projects sitewide and completed the corn milling Technical Development Program. Currently, I work for Cargill SSTNA in Wahpeton, ND as the Sweeteners Refinery Manufacturing Technology Engineer to focus on process optimization, data analysis of MTPMs, and modeling and forecasting production budgets.
