About Benjamin Jehl

Software Engineering Manager at BankOZK Innovation Labs and founder/organizer of the Vue.js Tampa Bay meetup group. Technologies I have experience with: Vue.js, TypeScript.Net Core, AWS, Ruby on Rails, React, Redux, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL server, Sass/SCSS, HTML5 and CSS3. I had previously worked as a Financial Advisor with series 7 and 66 licenses at Merrill Edge. Before joining the tech community, my previous 6 years had been spent in a combination of banking and brokerage. However I have always been very drawn to tech; writing code/web development in particular. When I learned Suncoast Developers Guild offered an Academy to learn full stack web development I immediately jumped at the opportunity to move my career in the direction of tech. I am a fast learner and really enjoy growing my knowledge base. The difference these days is most of the knowledge I take in is about web development instead of financial markets. In light of my previous work history, I am very accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment where I enjoy and embrace the challenge of doing my best work everyday.
