About Benjamin Kawsky

As the founder and head voice teacher at BAWS Studio, I am passionate about transforming aspiring singers into confident, working professionals. My teaching philosophy centers on developing the vocal instrument through tailored exercises, technical musicality, and a focus on artistry that encourages students to express their unique perspectives. With nearly a decade of experience, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students from various backgrounds, helping them achieve remarkable milestones such as record deals, album releases, and leading roles in performances. My approach is customized to each student’s learning style, ensuring they see progress and remain motivated on their artistic journey. In 2023, I served as a vocal coach for David Kushner’s Daylight tour, supporting him in rehearsals and maintaining vocal health. Since 2017, I’ve been David’s voice teacher, witnessing his incredible rise to over a billion streams this year. I also work as a vocal producer for talented artists like Kris Piña, Stefanie Joyce, Tommy Douglas, and Clayton Mann, helping them uncover their authentic artistic voices. This collaborative process allows me to blend my teaching experience with production, guiding artists to express themselves genuinely in their music. My background includes teaching at renowned institutions like TakeLessons, where I quickly built a studio of 40 students in just two months. I pride myself on being among the top-rated teachers on the platform. My earlier experiences at Sound Summit Music Studio and School of Rock further enriched my ability to help students navigate both live performance and studio recording. I hold a Master’s in Vocal Performance from Roosevelt University and have participated in various masterclasses and lectures, including guest lectures at the University of Chicago.
