I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Neuroscience in the lab of Dr. Maurice Swanson in the Center for NeuroGenetics at the University of Florida. My current research focusses on brain aging and development in the rare disease myotonic dystrophy. I lead collaborative projects with academic and medical professionals to better understand disease progression in order to improve future therapeutics in myotonic dystrophy.
