Background

About Benjamin Lawrence

I bring an entrepreneurial approach to procurement processes, leading teams towards sustainable and resilient solutions. I am a process entrepreneur: by aligning people to processes, and promoting team collaboration, sourcing and supply chain management finally becomes strategic, taking on a new meaning, and this is what I promote. Entrepreneurial thinking is not solely exhibited by the creation of new businesses, but also in the creation of new processes for making better and more informed decisions - creating value, rather than capturing it, and procurement is at the heart of this reality! At the foundation are Lean Principles, that I tailor for each problem, and together with the team we create new tools and/or systems that innovate and enhance our work. Contractual guidance and strategic management form the backbone of successful partner engagement, and I ensure that global teams embrace this understanding by streamlining processes to make the provision of USG assistance continually more efficient. With more than 20 years of experience, I am proud to be working towards improving the lives of rural and marginalized communities.
