Background
About Benjamin Longstreth
I am a dedicated professional with 10 years of experience in higher education. My career journey has been driven by an unwavering passion for the transformative and developmental potential that higher education offers. Throughout my career, I have focused on several key areas that I believe are essential to having a positive impact within higher education. These include increasing collaboration and support across various functional areas, managing strategic projects from start to finish, embedding equity and inclusion practices into our day-to-day operations, and crafting developmental experiences that empower college students to thrive. My core belief is that higher education holds the power to effect positive change on a societal level. It is a catalyst for personal growth, empowerment, and the betterment of communities. To realize this potential, I am dedicated to fostering an environment where faculty and staff work cohesively to provide students with a supportive and enriching learning experience, ensuring that every student feels a true sense of belonging. Currently, I am honored to be a member of the Program Services team at Harvard Business School. In this role, I help to manage the community standards process and helping to advance key institutional efforts that uphold the HBS Community Values. On a personal and academic note, I am also in the midst of pursuing my Ph.D. in Higher Education at Boston College. My research interests are centered on First-generation college student sense of belonging, student voice, and institutional decision-making. I invite you to connect with me to explore opportunities for collaboration, share ideas, or simply engage in meaningful conversations.
