About Benjamin MacArtan

A current PhD researcher at Teagasc and University College Dublin. Equipped with varying professional experiences including four years of teaching, three years as an administrator, customer relationship management, project management and research. Possesses prolific team spirit, analytical, creative, research, communication, organizational and ICTs skills. Highly enthusiastic about sustainable food production, climate change, environmental sustainability, food security, and animal production. As part of the agricultural professionals and stakeholders striving for globalised sustainable food systems, I believe our efforts will be less fruitful with the increasing amounts of cybersecurity breaches targeted at the agricultural sector. It has therefore, become imperative to educate more stakeholders (farmers, researchers, marketers etc) in the agri-sector on cybersecurity. I am currently improving my knowledge in cybersecurity areas such as Cloud Security and Network Security. Determined to add value to any establishment by effective and thorough handling of responsibilities and to be proactive in accordance with the organisation’s vision, mission, and goals.
