About Benjamin Potashnyk

Graduating from the Niagara College Game Development program in 2022, I am an avid level designer with attention to detail and an enthusiasm for work. I have worked on many school projects as well as numerous side projects. My peers have complimented me for my dedication to finishing projects and astonishing detail. I am fluent in C# scripting for the Unity game engine, but I am always willing to learn a new language or game engine. I am willing to work anywhere, whether I have to move to work on-site or to work remotely. I currently work at Niagara Health as an At-The-Elbow (ATE), supporting nurses, clerks, and physicians during the transition into the new Hospital Information System (HIS) Cerner Millennium. In doing so, I need to be proficient with learning a new system from the ground up in a short period, focus on key troubleshooting skills to ensure the smooth operation of desktop computers, workstations-on-wheels, printers, and barcode scanners, and thorough documentation when submitting a ticket for additional support. During this role, I worked with a very small group of other ATEs to develop thorough documentation of our learning modules to assist all 300+ other ATEs during the stressful period of Go-Live. I have also created other documents to assist in other key milestones, such as Login Labs and Favorite Fairs - times when nurses and physicians can check their credentials in the production version of Millennium - and assisting coworkers working in the Tier 1 call center to help remind them of their general workflow and what to expect.
