Hello, my name is Benjamin. I am a self-motivated Christian chaplain with over 7 plus years of chaplaincy experience in various settings. I have a passion and a heart for helping adults dealing with life-changing events, including mental and behavioral health. My experience ranges across diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. As a chaplain and counselor in training, I am that driven partner who desires to have breakthrough moments while becoming closer to God. I can provide the needed guidance while leveraging faith-based counseling and guidance to my clients. I excel in any type of environment, either secular or Christian based organization whose objective is to offer their clients a healthy place to heal. My journey into counseling has taken me through various paths. I have a diversified background in the construction and maintenance field, where I have been on both ends of the hammer (to use a tool reference). I have led multi-faceted teams in billion-dollar construction projects, as I have also led groups of volunteers working on a day of giving. I have excelled in providing leadership and guidance to both professional and blue-collar workers. Prior to forging my way in the construction and maintenance field, I was a member of the United States Marine Corp. Values, ethics and determination are key to being a successful individual. I am currently enrolled in a baccalaureate program for Addiction Counseling at City Vision. I am an organized and detail-oriented individual who exemplifies professionalism, and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks as needed. I have demonstrated history of successful grief counseling and demonstrated support group, while ensuring high-quality communications and facilitating effective support.
