About Benjamin Seamons

I love to help people and serve the community in order to make the world a better place. I have been in the workforce from the time I was 12 years old and have years of experience with teamwork, leadership, customer service, hard work, problem-solving, and various other skills. I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics, with an applied emphasis as well as a minor in Biomathematics, Biology, and Chemistry. I have a lot of experience with applying math to biological systems. I was part of a biomath research reading group for two years at USU and participated in undergraduate research with Dr. Jim Powell as I modeled dispersal patterns in a stream system. I was always a top student at Utah State and was on the Deans list every semester I attended. I also grew my academic understanding through teaching general chemistry labs; teaching supplemental biology and biochemistry sections, and tutoring in the math lab on campus. I also assisted with research as an In-Vivo research technician at the Institute for Antiviral Research at Utah State University and gained many valuable skills pertaining to the research process. Outside of academics, I have gained lots of valuable skills in the healthcare profession working as a phlebotomist and an imaging technologist assistant. In extracurricular activities, I participated in several clubs on campus including working in the Professional Relations Committee of the Pre-Medical Club where I assisted in coordinating activities and relationships with physicians in the Cache Valley area to foster interactions with aspiring medical students at USU.
