I retired from the US Air Force (late 2023) as Director of Mechanical Engineering Laboratory at United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The $38M cutting edge laboratory is specialized in materials testing, fabrication and characterization and also supports the Center for Aircraft Structural Life Extension (CAStLE). I also served on the faculty as an assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering - providing technical instruction and mentorship to the future officers of our nation. I previously worked as Deputy Chief at the Program Office supporting Metals Fabrication Technology at an Air Force level. This position required policy and guidance creation for all types of fabrication within operations and maintenance, to include: welding, machining, additive manufacturing and cold spray repair. Skilled in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Material Science, Fabrication Methods, Prototyping and Design. Strong technical professional with a Dr. Ing. focused in Materials Science from Helmut Schmidt Universität - Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg and a Masters of Science focused in Materials Science and Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson, Ohio.
