About Benjamin Thompson

I serve as the President and Chief Investment Officer of Delegate Advisors, an independent multi-family office based in Chapel Hill. Our mission is to work intimately with a small number of families across a wide spectrum of objectives to simplify their financial lives. We serve our clients through a combination of complex planning solutions, the bedrock of the portfolio, an expansive palette of investment solutions and thoughtful, personalized engagement. My industry experience has been shaped through portfolio management roles in the asset management units of Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan, the co-founding and leadership of boutique manager Samson Capital Advisors, and the leadership of the US asset management division of Fiera Capital, a multi-asset manager headquartered in Canada. My experience includes institutional and private clients, having worked with ultra-high net worth families for years throughout my career. Along the way, I have also had the good fortune to sit on the board of a US market regulator, as well as appear on CNBC and shows such as Wall Street Week commenting on market activity. My role at Delegate is primarily focused on strengthening existing processes and systems and innovating new best practices to enhance Delegate’s client experience while playing a leadership role for the firm’s investment platform. As Delegate continues to grow, it is critical we continue to add to our internal resources to both enhance the delivery of all that we do for clients, but also to ensure continued service for decades to come.
