Norwich based - open to hybrid / remote roles. I am open to opportunities in Cloud, DevOps or System Administrator. Currently, I work as an Application Specialist within ITCS at the University of East Anglia configuring, deploying and maintaining the main university administration SITS application and database. Previously I was a Second Line Technician, dedicated to providing excellent IT systems support at the highest level with a customer-focused mindset. Qualifications and skills • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner - Pass • Second Line Support | Linux Cent OS - Linux fundamentals | System administration | Shell scripting | Networking, services and system updates | Disk management and run levels • I completed the AW re-start program in 2018 and have been revisiting the courses that they and QA had provided. Introduction to GIT, Agile methods and practice, Fundamentals of networking, Introduction to programming and SQL basics, Linux and Cloud computing basics. Following the completion of the AWS restart programme I completed a 4 month temporary contract working for Norfolk and Suffolk constabulary on their 1st line support desk, this was my first role within IT. It gave me great exposure to see how a large organisation deploys IT as a service as well as giving me a chance to use my experience and technical knowledge to support the problems that arise for members of the police force. After leaving a role with Randstad, I used this time to develop my IT skills I have used this time to pass the AWS CCP, improve my Linux and Python skills as well as revisiting my training from AWS restart and my time on the service desk.
