Background

About Bennet Gage-Brown

I am a mechanical design engineer with over two decades of experience, renowned for solving complex design challenges in the heavy transport, military, and special projects sectors. My career began in 2002, and since then, I’ve worked on everything from high-performance equipment to custom-engineered solutions that demand precision and innovation. Beyond my work in heavy transport, I spent five years designing and fabricating high-end, handmade mountain bikes—an extension of my passion for engineering. In 2023, my wife Jacqui and I purchased Alted Engineering, a workshop based in Tairua that designs, fabricates, and installs engineering solutions for projects throughout the Coromandel, New Zealand. Whether it's working on local infrastructure or custom builds, we pride ourselves on delivering quality craftsmanship tailored to our clients' needs. Outside the workshop, you’ll often find me on the track at Mercury Bay Motorcycle Club (President), in the surf, mountain biking, or travelling the world with Jacqui and our three boys.
